Wikoff Color, based in Lannon, WI, does more than supply inks and coatings to their customers, they provide leadership and solutions in the print and packaging industry with their technological innovations and analytical services.
Their operation has expanded significantly over their nearly 70 years in business. Through investment in equipment, their team, and more recently their acquisitions, Wikoff has become an international player in ink, coating, and supplies.
THE CHALLENGE
Facing the challenge of limited space for expansion within their current building, Wikoff reached out to our team to help lead a development process for a new manufacturing facility that would allow them the space for continued growth. Our development team quickly investigated potential building sites that aligned with their size and geographical requirements, landing on a location near one of Wikoff’s leading clients. Our design team then worked side by side with Wikoff to create plans that accounted for operational equipment such as high velocity air filtration, exterior tanks with supply lines into the facility, warehousing and production space.
THE RESULT
The end result was a brand new 88,500 SF facility built to support their innovation, operational and production needs in this part of the country. This new facility boasts temperature and humidity-controlled manufacturing areas, custom air filtration, four exterior 5,000 gallon gas tanks with piping to the interior production area, storage and office space.
