GROWING BUSINESS.
EXPANDING NEEDS.

Vermeer Wisconsin is a manufacturer and retailer of high-quality industrial and agricultural equipment, commonly seen in use near roadways for drilling and feeding wires, tubes, etc.

As their expansion across the Midwest and Wisconsin has progressed, the need for additional space for their equipment repair facility, employee training, and product storage has also increased. Due to this, the Vermeer team reached out to Briohn once again to help find and secure land, design architectural plans, and construct a new facility to meet their growing needs.

THE CHALLENGE

This project had a few challenges, including:

  1. Designing and constructing a three-in-one facility that provided office, training, and repair space.
  2. Constructing most of the facility through a harsh Wisconsin winter.
  3. Coordinating and connecting large municipal sewer and water.

THE RESULT

The newly constructed facility for Vermeer Wisconsin spans an impressive 45,000 square feet, providing ample space to accommodate their growing needs. The building includes a state-of-the-art equipment repair facility, employee training areas, and extensive product storage. One of the key features of the repair facility is the inclusion of three cranes, designed to handle various lifting requirements. The cranes at Vermeer are a 5-ton crane, a 7.5-ton crane, and a double 3-ton crane. The double 3-ton crane consists of two 3-ton hoists on a single girder, ensuring efficient and versatile lifting capabilities. This new facility not only meets Vermeer Wisconsin’s current demands but also positions them for continued growth and success in the future.

When we knew we needed new space, we frankly didn’t know where to start, and your team at Briohn was extremely helpful guiding us through this unchartered territory. Briohn’s team was so effective in collaborating on our current and future space needs, as well as creative in their design. Your team was extremely accessible and responsive throughout the design and construction process, and although we may considered a “small” business, we never felt the level of service was any less than superior.
