PROJECT ARCHITECT

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A PROJECT ARCHITECT:

  • Drawing and document projects from preliminary design concept, throughout the construction drawings, and through project completion.
  • Collaborate on the building design effort and managing the production of building construction documents in accordance with local and national codes and regulations.
  • Interact with Project Managers and clients to understand their needs and expectations and work to ensure that the final design is aesthetically pleasing, safe, and functional. 
  • Work with clients and construction team to understand goals for the project, and develop a functional, economical design/plan.
  • Efficiently draw construction documents and specifications required for estimating, approvals and construction.
  • Review documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Ensure that the client’s vision, goals, and objectives are understood by all members of the team and/or consultants. 
  • Participate in client and municipality presentations to gain necessary approvals to move the project forward.
  • Coordinate amongst project team to ensure a seamless architectural design process from inception to completion.
  • Manage third party consultant, their timelines and quality control. 
  • Conduct field inspections under the direction of the Architect of Record. 

 

HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of architectural experience with commercial and industrial projects. 
  • Licensed Architect in the state of Wisconsin.
  • 5 years of experience with Autodesk Revit. 
  • Proficiency in 3D graphics software such as Sketchup, Enscape, a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity solving architectural challenges, while preserving project deadlines and budget. 
  • Experience with COMcheck, ProCore, and/or DelTek preferred.
  • Ability to present meetings with clients of municipalities. 
  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills. 
  • LEED AP, nice to have.
