Wilo is a pioneer in pumps and pump systems for water and air conditioning supply. Their technology is used all across the world by residents, commercial and industrial clients, as well as governments. We were honored when they approached us to help design and build their new USA headquarters.
THE CHALLENGE
The challenge for Wilo was figuring out a way to consolidate three manufacturing facilities into one state-of-the-art efficient operation. Merging these buildings into one begins with a detail programming analysis of product flow within each of the existing buildings. From there we developed the most efficient manufacturing through-put plan, allowing us to blend innovation, manufacturing, and material warehousing to create maximum efficiencies for their operation. Because this facility would be their new U.S. headquarters, our team had to design ample office space with a dramatic entry area, complete with a product innovation showroom and collaboration spaces.
THE RESULT
The end result was a 240,000 SF state-of-the art facility with production, a deep test pit, office and collaboration space that is helping their team change the game for pumps and water supply technology across the world. And, they’ll have room to grow on the site as they continue to innovate.
