VISION
Uzelac Industries, based in Pewaukee, WI, has been the innovator of direct fired rotary systems and dryer design for decades and holds several U.S. patents. They fabricate all of their dryer equipment here in Wisconsin, but you can find their equipment all across the world.
THE CHALLENGE
Uzelac occupied a small facility for 15 years. As their business expanded, their facility could not keep up with the vertical and heavy-duty manufacturing demands of industrial dryer equipment. Uzelac needed a space that could accommodate welding their products horizontally and safely lifting it from one assembly station to the next. After evaluating buildings for purchase, there was simply not a custom solution that met their needs.
The Uzelac team met with Briohn architects and engineers to design a space uniquely suited for their manufacturing needs.
THE RESULT
The end result was a 40,000 SF manufacturing facility that allows their team to expand R&D work as well as fabricate new, innovative dryer equipment. In addition, the facility boasts three overhead cranes, enough clear height to execute their horizontal welding assembly, and multiple-sized loading bays to accommodate shipping of their dryers.
