A REFRESHING TAKE
ON A LOGISTICS HUB
PepsiCo is a household name, with a legacy spanning over 125 years in delivering consumer packaged goods. Their products are savored by consumers over a billion times a day across 200 countries and territories globally. Beyond their renowned products, PepsiCo has also emerged as a pioneer in logistic technology and supply chain efficiency, which runs as smooth as their products go down.

THE CHALLENGE

Predicting future growth in the area, the Pepsico team initiated plans to construct a new facility. Teaming up with Briohn, the Pepsico team delved into a thorough investigation of potential building sites that aligned with their size and geographical requirements. Having a plot of land available for development in Lisbon, we offered it up as the perfect spot for the Pepsico team.  The Briohn team then crafted a design blueprint that best supported the operational workflow, logistics capability, and collaborative setting the Pepsico team was looking to achieve.

THE RESULT

The end result was the creation of a state-of-the-art facility spanning 150,000 square feet in Lisbon, WI. This facility stands as a testament to enhanced energy efficiency, boasting 95% new equipment, including tractors, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts, equipped with the latest safety features to ensure local employees work efficiently. Additionally, PepsiCo integrated a Geo Box delivery system, that streamlines beverage deliveries to local retail customers and significantly reduces the number of vehicles, miles driven, and fuel used.

With 20 bay docks and 35′ ceilings for extensive racking, along with office and training spaces, the facility supports the growing employment opportunities for PepsiCo’s logistical operation. This joint endeavor underscores PepsiCo’s unwavering commitment to serving local communities while simultaneously driving operational excellence and sustainability initiatives.
