Northern Gear, based in Muskego, WI, is a full-service manufacturing company that produces precision machined parts and related assemblies. For over 60 years, Northern Gear has been partnering with manufacturers around the world to better manage their supply chains. As they’ve grown, they’ve added services such as engineering, quality testing, inventory management, customized finishes and more.
THE CHALLENGE
Recognizing the increasing demands of their customers, Northern Gear identified the necessity to build and move into a new facility to allow for the size of growth. This development was not only to boost manufacturing capacity but also to enhance capabilities in engineering, inventory management, quality testing and customized finishing. Turning to Briohn for their expertise, they sought a design that would seamlessly integrate manufacturing processes with R&D, warehousing, and logistical operations.
THE RESULT
The end result was a spacious 96,000 SF facility perfectly suited for Northern Gear’s manufacturing and product testing needs. It offers ample room for inventory storage and management, as well as providing employees with modern and safe environment. Additionally, the facility includes contemporary office spaces, a training room and collaboration areas essential for supporting the company’s growth.
